About My Clinical & Business Backgrounds:

ABOUT ME – CLINICAL EXPERIENCE:

My formal clinical experience began as a Crisis Counselor for Project Liberty, where I counseled survivors of 9/11 and their family members.  Additionally, I worked as a psychotherapist at the same facility in their Outpatient Treatment Program / Department of Alcohol & Substance Abuse Treatment.

CLINICAL EXPERIENCE AT THESE TOP HEALTHCARE ORGANIZATIONS:
Since that time, I have provided psychotherapy and counseling services for a wide population; including children, adolescents and adults in the greater New York including area not only in my private practice but for several years at two of New York’s Premiere Hospitals’ Departments of Psychiatry including:

Department of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
Manhasset, NY 11030

Sound View Throggs Neck Community Mental Health Center
Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University

Bronx, NY 10461

I am told that my reputation for honesty, sensitivity, and successful outcomes is excellent.

ABOUT ME – BUSINESS EXPERIENCE:

Along with my career as a psychotherapist and counselor, I have a long and diverse professional background in the private business sector.  This includes positions ranging from product development and buying in the fashion apparel industry to Global Sales Director and factory management in the design, development, marketing, brand building, and sales of unique housewares products.  This diverse experience has enabled me to closely interact with a wide spectrum of people from all walks of life and from all over the world.  I have great sensitivity to cultural and personality differences.  These experiences further strengthened my understanding of the human condition.  This invaluable access to the global community gave me an insight that has helped strengthen my therapy and counseling practice.

I. REGARDING EMERGENCY SESSIONS:
*“Emergency” sessions might refer to a contact with the therapist that was not previously scheduled, but is agreed should occur as soon as possible.  Therefore, in this context, “Emergency” might refer to an unconventional time or re-arranging of schedules.  Therefore, in this context “Emergency” might refer to an immediate contact at an unconventional time or date, rather than an acute crisis, danger, or safety issue.
II. REGARDING EMERGENCIES:
In the event of, but not limited to, an imminent threat, safety concern, perceived danger to yourself or others, including the desire to harm yourself and/or others, IMMEDIATELY call 911 or go to your nearest Emergency Room.  Emergency Services are equipped to provide the appropriate aid for an acute crisis.  You can and should contact the therapist once the situation has been stabilized.  Maintaining your safety is my highest priority.
