I. REGARDING EMERGENCY SESSIONS:
“Emergency” sessions might refer to a contact with the therapist that was not previously scheduled, but is agreed should occur as soon as possible.  Therefore, in this context, “Emergency” might refer to an unconventional time or re-arranging of schedules.  Therefore, in this context “Emergency” might refer to an immediate contact at an unconventional time or date, rather than an acute crisis, danger, or safety issue.
II. REGARDING EMERGENCIES:
In the event of, but not limited to, an imminent threat, safety concern, perceived danger to yourself or others, including the desire to harm yourself and/or others, IMMEDIATELY call 911 or go to your nearest Emergency Room.
Emergency Services are equipped to provide the appropriate aid for an acute crisis.  You can and should contact the therapist once the situation has been stabilized.
Maintaining your safety is my highest priority.
